This project demonstrates ADCI’s relationships with the Airline Industry and highlights ADCI’s ongoing experience providing civil engineering support services for architectural projects and working relationships with major airports.
ADCI was selected by Southwest Airline Company to provide facility improvements on an on-call basis for projects throughout their system. These projects can cover the full range of airport design including apron and ramp facilities, terminal modifications, baggage handling facilities, and other airline support functions.
To date, ADCI has been assigned three tasks under this new assignment; improvements to the outbound baggage system at PHL, construction phase services for gate and loading bridge modifications for Gate E-1 at PHL, and a new Flight Information Display system at Detroit Metropolitan International Airport.
Outbound baggage system improvements at PHL include analysis and reconfiguration of the baggage screening system to allow for greater throughout and automation, site planning and construction of a new building and baggage make-up area, and ramp modifications to accommodate the expanded facilities.
